Free WAV downloads. Up to 5 jobs per browser per day, shared by the two-track and four-track tools. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC. Site capacity and network protection can pause processing even when you have jobs left.
Previewing a file or listening to examples uses no jobs. Download your results within 55 minutes after processing finishes.
Switch between the full recording and its Drums stem at the same playback position. This example comes from an actual four-stem separation; it lets you compare the groove before choosing your own file.
Listen to a hit and its tail. Compare the kick and snare attacks, then the cymbal decay. Listen for other instruments or voice carrying into the drum stem. The kit and percussion share one track; individual kick or snare exports are not available.
These are 192 kbps MP3 previews. Your own separation exports WAV stems. This short example is not a quality guarantee for every song, and the Drums preview is not a drumless backing track.

Want the song without drums? Follow the drumless mixing stepsSelect a supported audio file that you own or have permission to process. A clear source makes it easier to judge the extracted drum sound.
Confirm your audio rights and choose Extract drums. A single separation provides Drums, Bass, Vocals and Other here on this page.
Drums is selected first. Compare a beat or fill with the original and save the Drums WAV for your own practice or editing workflow.
Use the playback position to revisit the approach to a chorus or the end of a phrase. Listen to how the drummer enters and returns to the groove.
Use our BPM counter to tap along with the drum track, or open your downloaded Drum WAV in its automatic BPM finder. Check the pulse by ear before setting your metronome.
Import the WAV into your audio editor for further work. Separation does not grant permission to publish or sample someone else’s recording.
To remove drums from a song, combine Vocals + Bass + Other and leave out Drums. This page gives you those separate WAV files; an audio editor is needed to export one drumless backing track. Keep Vocals in the mix if you want to play along with the singer.
Download these three WAVs from the same separation. Keep the Drums WAV separately for learning the groove. Do not add the original song to your backing mix: it still contains the drums.
Import the three files onto separate tracks in one project. Start each at 0:00 and preserve their original timing. Play them together; if the combined signal clips, lower all three track gains by the same amount to keep their balance.
Export the three tracks together as a single stereo WAV or MP3 using your editor. Open that exported file and check a busy chorus as well as a quiet passage. Cymbal tails or drum attacks can remain because separation estimates each part.
In a new project, use File → Import → Audio to add only Vocals, Bass and Other. Check that they start together, then export one audio file; Audacity mixes the tracks during export. Keep the original recording and Drums out of this project so they cannot enter the mix.
See Audacity’s audio import instructions and track mixing and export guide.
A drumless backing keeps the singer, bass and other instruments so you can play the drum part. A karaoke instrumental removes the voice and normally keeps the drums. For singing practice, use the vocal remover instead.
Tap along with the separated Drums stem in Tap Tempo, or estimate its tempo with the BPM counter. Choose Use in metronome to open a practice click at that tempo. Start it yourself; it does not synchronize with or change your backing track.
Kick, snare, cymbals and percussion share one output. This page does not split the kit into individual instrument tracks or one-shot samples.
Long cymbal decays and reverberation can overlap other sounds. Listen to the ends of hits and quiet sections for missing detail or bleed.
The output follows the source performance. It does not quantize the groove, replace drums or convert the performance to MIDI.
No account or payment. The same free allowance applies across our separation pages. Moving between four-track tools can recover the existing job in this browser without another separation.
Download links expire 55 minutes after separation finishes. Save your files promptly.
How your audio is handledSite-wide capacity and network safeguards also apply. Use audio you own or have permission to process. Uploads are temporarily stored and deleted automatically.
It extracts a drum track from your existing recording. It does not generate beats or create a new drum performance.
The Drums WAV contains the combined kit and percussion estimated by the model. Separate kick, snare and cymbal exports are not available.
Run one separation, then download Vocals, Bass and Other. Place all three WAV files at the same start time in your audio editor, leave Drums out and export the mix. This page supplies the stems; it does not export a ready-made drumless backing track. Some drum bleed can remain.
Yes, you can use an MP3 as the source for separation. Download the Vocals, Bass and Other WAV stems, combine them in your audio editor and leave Drums out. Keeping Vocals preserves the estimated singing part in your backing mix. MP3 export, if needed, happens in your editor; this page downloads WAV stems.
Separation is an estimate. Cymbal tails, percussion and drum attacks can leak into Vocals, Bass or Other, especially in a dense mix. First check that you did not add the original recording or Drums to the export, then listen to each remaining stem to find the residue. Leaving out the drum stem does not guarantee complete silence from every drum.
Yes. Completed jobs include full-length downloads without an account or payment. Up to 5 jobs per browser per day are shared across our separation pages, resetting at midnight UTC. Each file can be up to 10 minutes and 100 MB. Network and site-wide capacity limits also apply.
Choose a mono or stereo MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or OGG that your browser can play and that you have permission to process. Streaming links and video files are not supported. Save the result within 55 minutes of separation finishing; preparing a practice version does not extend that deadline. Uploads are private, temporarily stored and deleted automatically. See the privacy policy for retention details.
